Comment: The pharmaceutical industry has a long history of producing patented chemicals for the purpose of putting people to death. As proven by historical records from the Nuremberg War Crimes Trials, the Zyklon B pellets used to murder concentration camp inmates in the gas chambers at Auschwitz were produced by a subsidiary company of the infamous IG Farben Cartel, composed of Bayer, BASF, Hoechst and other drug and chemical manufacturers. Today, with this US Supreme Court verdict, the ongoing pharmaceutical “business with death” is being given the backing of US law.

Don’t live longer, we can’t afford it!

June 24, 2015

Healthcare systems worldwide have their backs against the wall. The two main bottle necks are lack of money and lack of sufficient healthcare staff. But the problems manifest financially. They are magnified dramatically by the lack of effective disease prevention, the lack of effectiveness in treating chronic diseases and the cost of drugs and surgery. The biggest costs are people, buildings and drugs.

Comment:  International research is increasingly confirming the validity of concerns we ourselves first raised years ago. With this latest study essentially echoing the findings of an assessment carried out in Denmark earlier this year, we look forward to the day when the growing evidence base on the dangers of patented chemicals is finally acted upon by government health policy makers.

Jacques Delors awarded the title of "Honorary Citizen of Europe"

June 26, 2015

The European Council has awarded Jacques Delors the title of "Honorary Citizen of Europe" at the occasion of its meeting on the 25th and 26th of June 2015. After Jean Monnet in 1976 (Luxembourg European Council) and Helmut Kohl in 1998 (Vienna European Council), Jacques Delors is the third major actor of the European construction to be distinguished by such a title.

Comment: In an astonishing act of hubris, while the euro was falling deeper into trouble with each passing minute, the Brussels EU dictators took time out at their summit meeting to award the currency's architect, Jacques Delors, the title of "Honorary Citizen of Europe." In receiving this dubious award, however, it has to be said that Delors is in good company. Jean Monnet, a political wheeler-dealer who received the award in 1976, founded the little-known Action Committee for the United States of Europe in 1955 and played a key role in luring Great Britain into the Brussels EU. Former German Chancellor Helmut Kohl, who received the award in 1998, was initially employed by BASF and between 1959 and 1969 was a full-time lobbyist for the pharmaceutical and chemical industry. Kohl was disgraced in 1999 by revelations that his political party had received donations from an arms dealer and lobbyist accused of bribing officials.

Comment: Currently, there are around 200 million people in the world who don’t have a job. Moreover, even amongst those that do have a job, at least 80% of humanity lives on less than $10 a day. Significantly, therefore, the super-wealthy investors behind the Chemical, Petrochemical and Pharmaceutical Cartel see unemployment and low wages as necessary tools for maintaining profits. But it doesn’t have to be like this as there are alternative approaches to economics and employment that would make a better, fairer world for everybody. In the area of employment, therefore, the goal of the Movement of Life is to put an end to unemployment and ensure that everyone has the right to live a purposeful, dignified and productive life.
