Why Were Risky, Ineffectual Bone Drugs Approved, Some Are Asking
Like Vioxx, Merck's expensive "super aspirin" that caused thousands of cardiovascular events before being recalled, Merck's Fosamax, the first bisphosphonate bone drug, flew out of the FDA with only a six-month review. And like Vioxx, the true dangers of the drug class (that includes Fosamax, Boniva and Reclast) only surfaced after being "tested" on the guinea pig known as John Q Public. European leaders and financial markets braced for Greece exit from euro
Return to drachma nears amid political impasse in Athens and open discussion in Brussels of possible end of single currency
Financial markets are hastily making preparations for a Greek exit from the euro after a day of political and economic turmoil ended with Europe's policy elite admitting for the first time that it may prove impossible to keep the single currency intact.

Comment: With the Greek economy now reported to be on the brink of collapse, it will clearly take some time to repair the enormous financial and social damage that has been caused to the country by the chemical and pharmaceutical cartel, its Brussels EU politburo and the enslaving chains of the euro currency. But with a return to their national currency, the drachma, the people of Greece will at least have a chance to recover their independence and dignity via their own endeavours. Meantime, each day longer that they are blackmailed by the Brussels EU elite becomes another obstacle on their road to independence, financial recovery and social peace.
