Eurozone faces doom no matter how hard France and Germany try to save it, warns top investment bank

NEWS

The eurozone is likely to break up no matter how hard France and Germany try to save it, one of the world’s biggest investment banks is warning.

COMMENT

Among senior economists and financial officials, there is now an increasing recognition that the euro currency of the Brussels EU is doomed. Illustrating this, speaking in August 2016, Nobel-Prize winning economist Joseph Stiglitz stated that Europe is heading towards a "cataclysmic event" that could lead not only to the collapse of the euro currency but also the end of the Brussels EU itself. A former Chief Economist at the World Bank, Stiglitz believes that one more political event similar to the United Kingdom's decision to leave the Brussels EU is now all it would take to trigger these outcomes.

Similarly, Lord Mervyn King, the former Governor of the Bank of England, has predicted that, in order to free its weakest member countries from the strangulating combination of austerity measures and high unemployment they are suffering from, the euro currency zone will have to be dismantled.

Due to its fundamentally undemocratic structure – with the EU Commission holding all executive power and the EU Parliament serving merely as a fig leaf – the Brussels EU needs to be publicly rejected by its citizens, dismantled, and eventually replaced by a truly democratic system of representation: A Europe for the People, by the People. Until such time as this happens, the 500 million people of Europe will continue to remain subject to economic dictatorship, widespread unemployment, and a political model in which democracy increasingly becomes a thing of the past.

5 GMOs authorized for import in the EU without any political support

NEWS

5 GMO authorizations were published yesterday, without any political support, neither from the Member States nor from the European Parliament.

COMMENT

Yet again, by approving these 5 GMOs without any political support, the Brussels EU has proven that it isn’t a democracy. Far from representing the interests of European citizens, the Brussels EU is instead a dictatorship that primarily represents the interests of multinational corporations.

So why are biotech companies so interested in producing GMOs? In short, it is the fact that genetically modified materials can be patented. Unlike regular seeds, for example, GM seeds are created in laboratories and do not exist in nature. This makes them a highly attractive investment proposition to the companies that produce them. Patents on GM seeds, and the multibillion dollar potential profits and market control that may result from them, act as powerful incentives for manufacturers to find ways of forcing GM foods onto consumers' dinner plates, regardless of the possible dangers to human health.

It can thus be seen that biotech companies are using the exact same patent-based business plan as that of the pharmaceutical and chemical industries. Seen in this light, you may not be surprised to learn that some of the largest multinational corporations are now involved in all three of these ‘Profit Over Life’ sectors.

Insufficient levels of vitamin D in pregnancy detrimental to child development

NEWS

Vitamin D deficiency in expectant mothers during pregnancy has a negative effect on the social development and motor skills of pre-school age children, a new study in the British Journal of Nutrition reports.

COMMENT

A micronutrient that has numerous important functions, vitamin D is produced naturally in the body when skin is exposed to sunlight. However, deficiency in this micronutrient is increasingly widespread. As this new study shows, this can have serious consequences.

An optimum supply of not just vitamin D, but of all the various micronutrients that are essential for health, is very important for a developing fetus. Inadequate nourishment in any phase of pregnancy will affect organ systems, birth weight, and even survival of the baby. Moreover, development of the organs during pregnancy can also determine how their growth continues after the baby’s birth.

You can learn more about the importance of micronutrients during pregnancy in parts one and two of a special feature article on the website of the Dr. Rath Research Institute.

Monsanto vows to fight California’s landmark Prop 65 cancer designation

NEWS

The US state of California has officially placed the chemical glyphosate – the main ingredient in Monsanto’s best-selling herbicide Roundup – on its Prop 65 list of substances “known by the state to cause cancer”.

COMMENT

As people increasingly recognize the damage that dangerous agrochemicals and GMOs are doing to the environment and human health, opposition to Monsanto is growing worldwide. In an example of this, in a tribunal convened by civil society groups, five international judges recently accused Monsanto of engaging in “practices which have negatively impacted the right to a healthy environment, the right to food, and the right to health."

In their advisory opinion, the five judges specifically stated that were the crime of ‘Ecocide’ to be recognized under international law, the facts reported to them could fall within the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court. Calling for the primacy of international human and environmental rights law to be asserted, they wrote that “the time is ripe to consider multinational enterprises as subjects of law that could be sued in the case of infringement of fundamental rights.

Antioxidants might help in early diabetic kidney disease: Study

NEWS

Supplementation with antioxidants like vitamin E could reduce the excretion of a specific protein in patients’ urine, which is an early sign of diabetic kidney disease (DKD), say researchers.

COMMENT

Through not understanding the primary cause of diabetes, the orthodox medical treatment of this disease is confined to treating its symptoms by lowering elevated levels of blood sugar. However, cardiovascular disease, kidney disease, and other complications still occur even in diabetic patients whose blood sugar levels are successfully controlled. It can therefore be seen that, while obviously necessary, lowering blood sugar levels only provides part of the solution towards the successful control of diabetes.

In contrast, Dr. Rath’s Cellular Medicine approach provides a scientific breakthrough regarding the causes, prevention, and adjunct treatment of diabetes. The primary cause of the adult onset form of this disease is a long-term deficiency of certain vitamins and other essential nutrients in the millions of cells in the pancreas (the organ that produces insulin), the liver, the blood vessel walls, and other organs. Through properly addressing this deficiency, diabetes can now be eradicated.

Statins may increase risk for Parkinson’s disease

NEWS

Use of statins was significantly associated with risk of developing Parkinson’s disease, according to findings published in the journal Movement Disorders.

COMMENT

A survey conducted among cardiologists in the United States and published in 2015 found that the majority now recommend the important cellular nutrient Coenzyme Q-10 (CoQ10) for their patients. However, despite this promising finding, the same study also revealed that many of these physicians did not know why supplementation with this key micronutrient is vital for anyone taking statin drugs. Apparently, U.S. cardiologists still haven’t been properly educated about the nutrient-robbing nature of these aggressively-hyped cholesterol-lowering chemicals.

Far from being a new finding, it has been known for over a quarter of a century now that statins lower the body’s levels of CoQ10. Studies have shown that this can contribute to the development of a wide variety of side-effects and serious health problems. Unknown to many of the patients who take them, for example, statins have been shown to raise the risk of developing muscle pain and muscular injuries, fatigue, osteoarthritis of the knee, nerve damage, eye damage, cataracts, kidney problems, breast cancer, diabetes – and, ironically, even calcification of the arteries.

Could vitamin C be the cure for deadly infections?

NEWS

A new protocol that includes this common nutrient could save millions of lives—and has already sparked a raging debate among doctors.

COMMENT

A serious illness that occurs when the body has an overwhelming immune response to a bacterial infection, sepsis affects millions of people globally every year and is frequently deadly. Significantly, it is more common than heart attacks and claims more lives than any cancer.

As this article clearly demonstrates, however, the treatment of sepsis is gradually changing. Slowly but surely there is a growing acceptance of the use of vitamin C. Undoubtedly, once implemented into clinical practice, this development will eventually result in millions of lives being saved that would otherwise have been lost.

Bring On the Exercise, Hold the Painkillers

NEWS

Taking ibuprofen and related over-the-counter painkillers could have unintended and worrisome consequences for people who vigorously exercise.

COMMENT

A major study recently suggested that nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as ibuprofen may increase the risk of having a heart attack. Published in the British Medical Journal, the paper adds to the mounting body of evidence linking ibuprofen and other commonly prescribed NSAIDs to cardiovascular problems. Significantly, while the dangers were predictably shown to be greatest with higher doses, the researchers noted that taking any dose of NSAIDs for one week, one month, or more than a month was associated with risk.

Worldwide health authorities urged to rethink vitamin D guidelines

NEWS

Worldwide health authorities are being urged to rethink official guidance around vitamin D following the publication of a groundbreaking study from the University of Surrey, which dispels the myth that vitamin D2 and D3 have the same nutritional value.

COMMENT

In confirming that vitamin D3 is more effective in raising levels of vitamin D in the body than its counterpart D2, this study reinforces the importance of ensuring that the nutritional supplements you take are effective.

For example, the majority of supplement formulas containing multiple nutrients and plant extracts do not clearly state the criteria for their selection of ingredients. Little attention is paid to their combination in varied doses; to whether such combinations actually work together; or even to whether some ingredients might offset the actions of others in the body.

Similarly, supplementing with a very large dose of any one nutrient may cause or worsen deficiencies of others. Over periods of time, the use of random combinations of nutrients may create a metabolic imbalance in the body. This is often the reason why some clinical studies using a single compound or a random combination of a few nutrients bring inconsistent results.

Tony Blair 'not straight' with UK over Iraq, says Chilcot

NEWS

Tony Blair was not "straight with the nation" about his decisions in the run up to the Iraq War, the chairman of the inquiry into the war has told the BBC.

COMMENT

In 2009, responding to growing pressure, the then British Prime Minister Gordon Brown announced that an inquiry would be conducted to identify lessons that could be learned from the Iraq War. Sir John Chilcot, a British Privy Counsellor and former civil servant, was appointed as Chair of the inquiry, with the first round of hearings beginning in autumn 2009. The hearings continued for a period of almost two years, eventually concluding in 2011. The written evidence studied by the Inquiry included over 150,000 documents. After several years during which protracted negotiations took place over references to classified material, the final 2.6 million word report was eventually released on 6 July, 2016.

So far as the involvement of Tony Blair is concerned, the report is utterly damning. Among other things, it found that he deliberately exaggerated the threat posed by Saddam Hussein; that he had promised George Bush he would be with him “whatever”; that his cabinet’s decision to launch the invasion was made in circumstances that were “far from satisfactory”; and that he deliberately ignored warnings on what would happen in Iraq after the invasion. The devastation and chaos that have since enveloped the Middle East, as well as the consequences both in Europe and worldwide, bear testimony to the sheer recklessness of these decisions.

Vitamin K2 may be beneficial for athletic training: Study

NEWS

Supplements of vitamin K2 may boost the output of the heart by 12% in aerobically trained males and female athletes, says a new study.

COMMENT

Scientific studies clearly show that vitamins and other micronutrients are helpful for athletes and sportspeople. Research has demonstrated, for example, that vitamin D supplements can lower blood pressure and improve exercise performance. As a result, among elite athletes, the use of vitamin D supplements to maximize performance is now commonplace.

Lutein may suppress inflammation

NEWS

Lutein, a nutrient found in several highly coloured vegetables and fruits, can suppress inflammation, according to a new study by researchers at Linköping University, Sweden. The results, published in Atherosclerosis, suggest that lutein itself has anti-inflammatory effects in patients with coronary artery disease.

COMMENT

Inflammation is a natural body response to injuries such as sunburn, cuts, infections, or a twisted ankle. It plays a necessary role in the healing process and subsides after a short time. However, long-lasting chronic inflammation has detrimental effects in the body and is associated with a wide variety of diseases such as heart disease, arthritis, asthma, diabetes, autoimmune diseases, and cancer.

The inflammatory response has the potential to damage the body because it involves tissue breakdown, targeting damaged tissue, and invading pathogens. In situations of repeated injury and continuous exposure to harmful stimuli, the inflammatory process becomes chronic and its regulation is difficult.

In such situations, micronutrients assist important procedures in our body: they support healthy cell functions, strengthen the immune system, protect and strengthen the connective tissue, and inhibit an excessive production of collagen-digesting enzymes.

Chemotherapy may spread cancer and trigger more aggressive tumours, warn scientists

NEWS

Chemotherapy could allow cancer to spread, and trigger more aggressive tumours, a new study suggests.

COMMENT

This “finding” is not really “news” at all. In fact, as we describe on our Chemo Facts pages, many cancer drugs are known carcinogens. In other words, the drugs prescribed to millions of cancer patients as a supposed “cure” are known to cause the very same disease they are meant to be treating.

In yet another damning indictment of the dangers of cancer drugs, research published in 2016 and carried out in the UK found that, in some hospitals, within 30 days of starting treatment, chemotherapy is killing up to 50 per cent of patients who receive it. With even the normally pro-pharma British media expressing shock and saying patients should be warned about the dangers of these toxic chemical treatments, the study provided further evidence that the credibility of chemotherapy as a cure for cancer is collapsing.

To learn how natural approaches to cancer have been scientifically shown to block all key mechanisms that make it a deadly disease, read the groundbreaking book by Dr. Rath and Dr. Aleksandra Niedzwiecki, Victory Over Cancer.

No detectable limit to how long people can live: study

NEWS

By analyzing the lifespan of the longest-living individuals from the USA, the UK, France and Japan for each year since 1968, a new study published in Nature has found no evidence for an upper limit to how long people can live.

COMMENT

Through taking advantage of recent scientific advances in nutritional and Cellular Medicine, the opportunity now exists for people everywhere to live longer, healthier lives. Already in use by enlightened patients and doctors worldwide, the scientific principles underlying this approach will ultimately form the basis of a new healthcare system that will completely transform the current disease-based approach to medicine and refocus it towards preventing health problems before they develop.

Crucially, the global dissemination of this nutrition-based approach will also greatly reduce the economic dependency of the developing world upon the industrialized nations. The sooner developing countries implement such a healthcare system based on scientific preventive principles, the sooner their need for importing expensive pharmaceutical drugs – that are currently strangling their economies – will be significantly reduced.

Older adults who take 5+ medications walk slower than those who take fewer medications

NEWS

"Polypharmacy" is the term used when someone takes many (usually five or more) different medications. Experts suggest that, for most older adults, taking that many medications may not be medically necessary. Taking multiple medications also can be linked to problems such as falls, frailty, disability, and even death.

COMMENT

Research clearly shows that older people taking multiple pharmaceutical drugs face a significantly greater risk of frailty, disability and death. In a study published in the Journal of the American Geriatric Society in 2016, for example, researchers found that each additional medication added to a patient’s regimen was associated with a 22% increased risk of going from a state of robust health to dying during the period of the study.

In fact, so dangerous has the pharmaceutical approach to medicine now become that orthodox doctors, hospitals and their treatments have been shown in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) to be the third leading cause of death in the United States, exceeded only by deaths from heart disease and cancer. Providing further evidence of this, a JAMA study published in 1998 estimated that in 1994 around 106,000 hospitalized patients in the United States had suffered a fatal adverse drug reaction.

Large-scale study 'shows neonicotinoid pesticides harm bees'

NEWS

The most extensive study to date on neonicotinoid pesticides concludes that they harm both honeybees and wild bees.

COMMENT

Sales of neonicotinoids are believed to comprise around one-quarter of the multibillion dollar global pesticide market. In recent years, studies have repeatedly shown they are linked to serious harm in bees. Significantly, therefore, there is now evidence of a toxic “cocktail effect” from multiple pesticides. Nevertheless, whether global regulators will yet act on this data remains to be seen. In general, regulatory denial regarding the dangers of pesticides remains widespread.

Illustrating this state-of-denial, a recent Brussels EU report pompously claims that food consumed in Europe contains levels of pesticides that are within so-called ‘legal limits’. Analyzing over 84,000 samples, the report misleadingly declares that more than 97 percent of those examined had chemical residues which are within the amounts permitted by Brussels EU legislation. Clearly intended as health propaganda to convince the public that the insect-killing poisons sprayed on their foods are safe for human consumption, the publication blatantly ignores the toxic amplifying effects that combinations of pesticides can have when present together.

Published by the European Food Safety Authority, the analysis looks at foods such as aubergines, bananas, broccoli, virgin olive oil, orange juice, peas, sweet peppers, table grapes, wheat, butter, and eggs. Testing for a total of 774 different chemical residues, the results show that pesticides were found in foods from all categories.

Germany breaks green energy record by generating 35% of power from renewables in first half of 2017

NEWS

Germany raised the proportion of its power produced by renewable energy to 35 percent in the first half of 2017 from 33 percent the previous year, according to the BEE renewable energy association. Germany is aiming to phase out its nuclear power plants by 2022.

COMMENT

This story illustrates how a cleaner, greener world is gradually taking shape. As the process of change unfolds, the current global dependence on the oil and nuclear industries is slowly but surely being reduced.

In a further indication of the direction things are headed, a recent groundbreaking report sent shockwaves through the world’s major oil producers by forecasting that, within just 8 years from now, every new vehicle manufactured will be electric. Written by Stanford University economist Professor Tony Seba, the report suggests that as people start to switch from car ownership to on-demand driverless electric vehicles the resulting crash in oil prices will lead to the collapse of the petroleum industry. Stating that “we are on the cusp of one of the fastest, deepest, most consequential disruptions of transportation in history,” Seba predicts that the coming revolution will end over 100 years of individual vehicle ownership and, in the process, reshape the world’s energy economy.

US fraud trial underway for former pharma industry executive

NEWS

The US securities fraud trial of Martin Shkreli, a former pharmaceutical executive who gained notoriety for jacking up the price of an HIV drug by 5,000 percent, got underway on Wednesday after being delayed over difficulties in finding impartial jurors. Shkreli, the ex-boss of Turing Pharmaceuticals, stands accused of lying to investors and running a Ponzi-like scheme across multiple firms.

COMMENT

Given the already dire reputation and credibility of the pharma industry, Martin Shkreli’s decision in September 2015 to raise the price of Daraprim (Pyrimethamine) from $13.50 to $750 per tablet notably resulted in even the global mass media being aghast at his greed. An anti-parasitic drug that is on the World Health Organization’s list of essential medicines, the drug was acquired by Turing Pharmaceuticals, a start-up company run by Shkreli.

Today, with Shkreli standing accused, in relation to another of his business ventures, of lying to investors and running a Ponzi-like scheme across multiple firms, his reputation would increasingly appear to be plumbing the same ignominious depths as that of the pharma industry he formerly represented.

Study finds magnesium may ease depression symptoms

NEWS

Magnesium appears to reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety, according to a new study in PLoS ONE.

COMMENT

In sharp contrast to the dangers of drug treatments for depression, many studies have demonstrated the safety and effectiveness of nutritional approaches in fighting this health condition. In 2014, for example, a study published in the Phytotherapy Research journal provided clinical evidence that curcumin, the most abundant natural phenol present in turmeric, may be used as a safe and effective treatment for treating patients with major depressive disorder.

Additional research has found that correcting vitamin D deficiency in depressed patients can improve their condition. In a study published in the Journal of Clinical Psychopharmacology and carried out in Iran, researchers found that, in a randomized clinical trial, a single injection of 300,000 IU of vitamin D was safe and effective in improving depression in patients who were vitamin D deficient.

Further examples of micronutrients that have been shown to be helpful in fighting depression include vitamin C, acetyl-l-carnitine, and B vitamins.

Fish becoming transgender from contraceptive pill chemicals being flushed down household drains

NEWS

A fifth of male fish are now transgender because of chemicals from the contraceptive pill being flushed down household drains, a study by has suggested.

COMMENT

Evidence is growing worldwide that pharma companies are polluting the environment and that even our drinking water supplies are now contaminated with measurable amounts of dangerous chemical drugs.

A study published in 2009, for example, found that fish caught near wastewater treatment plants serving five major U.S. cities had residues of pharmaceuticals in them. Testing has also revealed that at least 46 million Americans are drinking water contaminated with pharmaceuticals. Meanwhile, scientists in the UK have found cancer drugs in tap water and rising levels of antidepressant drugs in coastal waters which they fear could seriously upset the natural balance of the ecosystem and potentially damage the food-chain. The world’s highest drug levels in water are believed to occur in India, where 21 different active pharmaceutical ingredients – at 150 times the highest levels detected in the U.S. – have been found.

Patients with multiple sclerosis may benefit from over-the-counter therapy

NEWS

Treatment options currently are limited for people suffering from secondary progressive multiple sclerosis. However, an OHSU pilot study suggests over-the-counter antioxidant lipoic acid holds promise in improving patients' lives.

COMMENT

A disease in which the myelin sheaths – the insulating covers of the body’s nerve fibres – are damaged, multiple sclerosis is believed to affect more than 2 million people worldwide. Most commonly diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 40, the course of the illness can take several forms. In relapsing-remitting forms of the disease symptoms tend to appear, disappear and then return again; in progressive forms they build up over time.

Symptoms are wide-ranging and vary between patients but can include visual disturbances; muscle weakness; coordination and balance problems; sensations such as numbness, prickling pains or “pins and needles”; and memory problems. In some people the disease results in sufferers losing the ability to write, speak or walk.

Fortunately, therefore, along with lipoic acid that was the focus of this latest study, other micronutrient-based approaches such as the use of coenzyme Q10, biotin, vitamin B12, L-carnitine, polyunsaturated fatty acids and vitamins have also been shown to be helpful in controlling multiple sclerosis. Evidence is also mounting that a lack of vitamin D may increase the risk of developing it.

As with other chronic diseases, the greatest impediment to progress in the control of conditions such as multiple sclerosis is the pharmaceutical ‘business-with-disease’, for whom their cure and eradication would result in the termination of a multibillion dollar revenue stream.

But with information on nutritional and Cellular Medicine now freely available online, patients are increasingly taking matters into their own hands and researching the facts about the natural control of neurological diseases for themselves. Based on the knowledge they gain, the day is therefore approaching when multiple sclerosis can eventually become a disease of the past.

People taking heartburn drugs could have higher risk of death, study claims

NEWS

Millions of people taking common heartburn and indigestion medications could be at an increased risk of death, research suggests.

COMMENT

As with other gastrointestinal conditions, pharmaceutical drugs do not address the root causes of heartburn and indigestion. Instead, they merely focus on controlling the symptoms. It is therefore hardly surprising that such an unscientific approach to treatment results in a risk to health.

Digestion is a complicated task and the cells building the digestive tract are constantly being renewed. Optimum function of the cells of not only the digestive system but also those of the immune system, the hormonal system, the circulatory system, and the nervous system is required to ensure that food is properly broken down and absorbed. A constant supply of essential micronutrients is critical for the functioning of all these cells. Poor dietary habits, diseases, pharmaceutical drugs, and stress affect the functioning of the digestive system as they further contribute to a deficiency of micronutrients. All of these things can certainly contribute to the development of heartburn and indigestion.

To learn about the benefits of the micronutrient synergy approach in digestive health, read this edition of the Dr. Rath Research Institute’s popular health information newsletter.

Folic acid could cut childhood leukaemia risk

NEWS

Maternal folic acid consumption prior to, and during, pregnancy may reduce risk of childhood leukaemia, according to a recent literature review.

COMMENT

Leukemia is a cancer of the bone marrow, which produces blood cells. Patients with leukemia experience an excessive production of white blood cells, also known as leukocytes. It is the tenth most commonly diagnosed cancer in the United States and the most common cancer in children.

Researchers at the Dr. Rath Research Institute have tested a combination of micronutrients including vitamin C, lysine, proline, green tea extract, arginine, and other micronutrients against leukemia. They found that the micronutrient combination was markedly more effective than its individual ingredients and, even at its lowest used concentration, showed its inhibitory effect on the collagen degrading enzymes produced by leukemia cells to spread and destroy the surrounding connective tissue. Impressively, the inhibition of these enzymes reached almost 100% at maximum micronutrient concentration. You can learn more about this study on our Foundation website.

Monsanto Spin Doctors Target Cancer Scientist In Flawed Reuters Story

NEWS

In a well-orchestrated and highly coordinated media coup, Monsanto Co. and friends this week dropped a bombshell on opponents who are seeking to prove that the company’s beloved Roundup herbicide causes cancer.

COMMENT

With the people of the world increasingly turning against GM crops, the companies that produce them will stop at almost nothing in their efforts to cover up the dangers of GM foods and the herbicides that are sprayed on them.

Significantly, therefore, following a two-day hearing held in the Netherlands in October 2016, five international judges have recently accused Monsanto of engaging in “practices which have negatively impacted the right to a healthy environment, the right to food, and the right to health." In their advisory opinion, published on 18 April 2017, they stated that were the crime of ‘Ecocide’ to be recognized in international law, the facts reported to them could fall within the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court.

Calling for the primacy of international human and environmental rights law to be asserted, the judges wrote that “the time is ripe to consider multinational enterprises as subjects of law that could be sued in the case of infringement of fundamental rights.” To learn more about this international tribunal and its campaign to hold Monsanto to account, read this article on our Foundation website.

German intelligence accused of 'spying on USA'

NEWS

German intelligence systematically spied on the White House and US government departments over a number of years, it has been claimed.

COMMENT

The activities of the German Secret Service go far beyond simply spying on the US government. As exposed by Dr. Rath in June 2016, its agents have led three emotionally unstable individuals to commit ten murders. Two of the three Secret Service-led neo-Nazis subsequently died in a mysterious arson attack in a trailer park. The third neo-Nazi was put on trial in Munich, during which the role of the German Chancellery as coordinators of neo-Nazi terrorism was made public.

Notably, the German Secret Service not just organized but actually financed the buildup of this neo-Nazi group, which was internationally well-connected and gave the German Chancellery direct access to neo-Nazi networks in other countries. It also supplied the murder weapon to the neo-Nazis; was physically present when some of the murders were carried out; and destroyed written evidence on the very day the parliamentary investigation began.
